League 1: West Wales Raiders beat Cornwall, Crusaders still top
West Wales Raiders picked up their first win of the season as they won 20-0 in Cornwall to climb off the foot of the League 1 table.
Doncaster ran in eight tries to comfortably beat London Skolars 44-12 in the capital.
Sam Smeaton (2), Aaron Ollett, Jason Tali, Travis Corion, Ben Howe and Tom Halliday (2) scored for the Dons. Donnor Robinson kicked six goals.
North Wales Crusaders continued their winning start to the season as they beat Oldham 30-16 at Colwyn Bay.
Gav Rodden (2), Rob Massam, Jordan Gibson and Alex Eckley scored for the Welsh outfit.
West Wales Raiders produced their first win of the campaign as they won 20-0 in Cornwall.
Callum Merrett (2), Fergus Simpson and Kian Fisher scored for the Welsh side. Simpson kicked two goals.
Swinton Lions were made to work for the two points as they claimed a 28-16 winners at Hunslet.
Louis Brogan, Lewis Charnock, George Roby, Lewis Hatton and Mike Butt scored for the Lions. Dan Abram kicked four goals.
Keighley Cougars eased past Rochdale Hornets 40-16 at Cougar Park.
Mo Agoro, James Feather, Nathan Roebuck, Charlie Graham and Jack Miller got on the scoresheet for Keighley.
Australian winger Jy Hitchcox made his debut for Rochdale after joining the club on a two-week loan from Championship side Leigh.
North Wales Crusaders have won all eight of their games so far in 2022 as Anthony Murray’s side sit at the top of the League 1 table.
Keighley are also unbeaten this season but have played a game less than North Wales so are just behind in second.
Rochdale are third on 12 points, with Swinton and Doncaster just behind with 10.
West Wales’ first win sees them climb off the foot of the table into ninth position. Only Cornwall and London Skolars in League 1 have lost every game this year so far.
