Leigh Centurions forward Chris Green provides injury update
Forward Chris Green has shared his injury update following Leigh’s defeat to Featherstone in the Championship.
Green left the field five minutes into their Monday night clash at Post Office Road.
Leigh would go on to a 28-6 defeat to Rovers, with Nene Macdonald scoring the club’s only try. Joey Leilua made his eagerly-anticipated debut for Featherstone following his move from the NRL. Matty Wildie and Ben Hellewell, who both played for Leigh in Super League last season, faced their former clubs for the first time since their switch to the Rovers.
The clash saw an average audience of 75,100 and a peak audience of 90,000.
Chris Green shares injury scans
Green has shared his scans from the clash, confirming a broken arm.
He made his Leigh debut in the club’s opening fixture at home to Whitehaven at prop.
The former Wakefield man shared on social media: “Not a great night on Monday. Gutted to have broken my arm early on in the game.
“I’ll be doing all I can to get back as quickly as possible.”

Suspensions for Leigh duo
Leigh were also dealt a blow after two of their players picked up suspensions by the Rugby Football League’s match review panel.
Winger Kieran Dixon has been given a one-match penalty notice for a Grade B dangerous contact in their 28-6 defeat at Featherstone in Monday night Rugby League.
Back-rower James McDonnell has been banned for one match for a Grade B dangerous throw in the same match.
