Lineham could miss final

Hull FC winger Tom Lineham is a doubt for the Challenge Cup final after picking up an ankle injury against Hull KR.

Lineham, 21, left the derby action just after half-time, and with the Wembley showdown against Wigan less than two weeks away he is a major doubt.

Airlie Bird’s head coach Peter Gentle said, “We will get Tom scanned, but this is another injury to add to the list.

“I’m not putting a line through his chances, but, it doesn’t look good.”

If Lineham is unavailable, his likely replacement will be ex-Bradford back Jason Crookes.

“We have Jason Crookes there ready to go and he will get an opportunity if Tom cannot play,” added Gentle.

“We pride ourselves on the depth we have in the squad this year. We tell the players to be ready in case an opportunity comes, and if needed Jason will be ready.”
