Lo pays emotional tribute to Ottio as crowdfunding hits £5k

Castleford winger Garry Lo has paid an emotional tribute to international team-mate Kato Ottio.

Speaking at the Tigers media day on Tuesday, Lo said Ottio’s death was like losing a brother.

Meanwhile, a crowdfunding campaign set up by Ottio’s new club Widnes has already hit its £5,000 target, less than 24 hours after being set up.

The Vikings are set to do more fundraising in aid of Ottio’s family at their pre-season friendly against Whitehaven on Friday night.
