Castleford have re-signed utility back Luke Dorn from London on a two-year deal.

Dorn, 31, was previously with the Tigers in 2008, when he scored 19 tries in 26 appearances to finish the season as the club’s leading try scorers.

He said: “I absolutely loved my time at Cas and I’m very, very excited about coming back.

“Had circumstances been a little bit different at the time I think that I probably wouldn’t have left.

“I really loved the whole environment at Castleford last time; personally I had a decent year and although we didn’t as a team results wise, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

“The fans were brilliant and the boys were great so it’s somewhere that I have really fond memories of and I’m looking forward to rekindling that.”

Dorn moved to London from Sydney Roosters in 2004, returning to the Broncos following his year at Cas, and has also had a spell at Salford, scoring 124 tries in 200 Super League appearances overall.

Tigers head coach Daryl Powell said: “Luke is a player that I have admired for a long time.

“His ability to play at half-back or full-back is massive and his leadership qualities and experience make him a key recruitment for us next season.

“I look forward to working with a quality individual who I know will drive our standards.”

The Australian managed six tries in 20 appearances for London this season, helping them to avoid the wooden spoon.
