Maika Sivo will be allowed to resume pre-season training with Parramatta Eels on Monday after having his bail conditions changed in Fiji.

The Fiji international has been detained in his homeland for the past week after he was charged with indecent assault following an incident involving a member of staff at a resort near Nadi, where he was born.

Parramatta have confirmed in a press release that Sivo has been given permission to travel to Australia while his case progresses through the Fijian court legal system.

The 26-year-old was the NRL’s top try scorer last year, crossing 22 times in 25 games in his debut season. He has earned two caps for Fiji.
