Mark Kheirallah crowned Championship Player of the Year while York enjoy multiple awards
Toulouse star Mark Kheirallah has been crowned Championship Player of the Year, while York picked up four awards.
Kheirallah finished the regular Championship season as top points scorer, crossing for 20 tries and kicking 127 goals in 2018.
He secured the award ahead of Olympique team-mate Johnathon Ford, Halifax captain Scott Murrell and Featherstone Rovers winger Luke Briscoe.
In his first year as head coach of London Broncos, Danny Ward was voted the Championship coach of the year after his side secured a position in The Qualifiers.
Ward beat off competition from Halifax’s Richard Marshall and Sylvain Houles of Toulouse.
St Helens youngster Matty Costello has scooped the Championship Young Player of the Year for his efforts while playing for Sheffield Eagles on dual-registration, ahead of Leeds Rhinos’ Harry Newman while playing for Featherstone Rovers and Halifax’s Brandon Moore.
York had plenty to celebrate as half-back Connor Robinson was named League 1 Player of the Year and James Ford won the League 1 Coach of the Year award.
Robinson secured the award ahead of York’s Ben Cockayne, Workington Town’s Sean Penkywicz and Dane Chisholm of Bradford Bulls.
Ford beat Bradford’s John Kear and Leon Pryce of Workington to be crowned League 1 Coach of the Year.
