North Wales Crusaders have signed France international prop forward Sebastien Martins.

Martins, 28, has spent the last two years playing in Australia for Central Queensland Capras, and is due to arrive ahead of this Friday’s game against Rochdale.

Crusaders chief executive Jamie Thomas said: “There were a number of clubs in the Championship who were interested in adding him to their squad, so we’re really pleased that he sees his future with Crusaders.

“He is flying in today and, hopefully, depending on the physical rigours of the flight, he should go straight in contention on Friday.”

Martins has previously played in Super League for Catalan and Hull KR, as well as in the Championship for Leigh and Whitehaven.
