Premier Sports Championship One Player of the Week – Rob Massam (North Wales Crusaders)
North Wales Crusaders wing Rob Massam scored five times in his side’s 48-0 win against Rochdale Hornets to set a new club record for tries in a match.
North Wales coach Clive Griffiths said: “Two of his tries really took some scoring, and the other three were very good finishes down the line that he put away strongly.
“He’s a strong character and people underestimate his pace. He’s got a good future ahead of him.”
Griffiths added: “Rob’s story gives you a real buzz as a coach. He came to our trials 18 months ago from a rugby union background, and this year he’s growing in stature every week.”
