McCarthy and Williams set for Wolves exit

Warrington have confirmed that Tyrone McCarthy and Rhys Williams will both leave the club at the end of the season.

McCarthy, 25, has been with the Wolves since 2005 and after rising through the academy ranks the back row forward has gone on to make 43 appearances for the club, scoring three tries.

The Irish international has also spent time with Wakefield and Castleford – both loan deals – and with Warrington’s dual registration club Swinton during his 8 years at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Williams, 23, switched from rugby union to join the Wolves academy in 2009, and since making his first-team debut the following year has made 29 appearances for the Wire, scoring an impressive 21 tries.

The Welsh international winger has also been on a number of loans in recent years, including spells at Crusaders, Castleford and Swinton.
