Melbourne Storm to release Josh Addo-Carr after 2020
Melbourne Storm are prepared to release Josh Addo-Carr on compassionate grounds following the 2020 NRL season.
Addo-Carr, 24, is contracted with Melbourne Storm until the end of 2021, but has made the club aware that wants to relocate closer to his family in Sydney.
They look set to release the winger from his playing contract on compassionate grounds at the end of the 2020 NRL season.
He made his professional debut for Melbourne in 2017, and scored two tries in the Grand Final in that same season to help seal the premiership for the Storm against the North Queensland Cowboys.
He has also represented Australia and New South Wales.
Melbourne released a statement earlier today hoping that they can seek a ‘fair value for Josh,’ including a transfer fee or a player swap.
