Hooker Adam Milner has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at Castleford until the end of the 2018 campaign.

Milner made his debut for Castleford in 2010 as a teenager and has gone on to play over 100 games for the club, becoming one of the most consistent performers.

In 2015, Milner appeared in 28 games for the Tigers. The former England Academy international said he is over the moon to be staying with the Tigers.

“I’m so happy! I really see the club going places over the next couple of years, and I want to be part of that,” he said.

“The ambition of where this club wants to go has significantly improved over the last two years, especially under Daryl Powell.

“I really believe Castleford Tigers can bring some silverware back to this great town soon,”

Castleford Tigers is a great club to be part of. The players, the coaching staff, everyone, we all have a great special bond, and this is such a great family club, that plays a fantastic part in the local community.

“I’m proud to be part of it, and I just want to keep developing as a player and as an individual and this team is developing and growing all the time, and really building Castleford Tigers into a great club.”

Tigers head coach Daryl Powell said  he was delighted to keep the 24-year old.

“I’m absolutely delighted that Adam Milner has decided to extend his contract with the club he is a high quality player who I feel is going to get better and better over the coming years and he will be one of our key players in our development as we look to improve further this season,” Powell said.

“His potential is massive and his combination with Paul McShane gives us two high quality hookers at the club.”

Steve Gill, Tigers CEO, is thrilled to have secured the services of another home grown player.

“It’s great news for our club that Adam has agreed to commit to the Tigers for another two years. I look forward to watching him develop even further under Daryl and his coaching team.”
