Mitchell Moses future confirmed as Lebanon star signs long-term NRL deal
Parramatta star Mitchell Moses has signed a new deal with the Eels until at least the end of 2026, with an option for a further two years.
The 28-year-old has made 141 appearances for the Eels since arriving from Wests Tigers in 2017, seeing him rack up more than 200 NRL games in total.
Moses has represented Lebanon in the last two World Cups, captaining the Cedars in last year’s tournament. He made his State of Origin debut with New South Wales in 2021.
The goal-kicking half-back, who was named the Dally M Half-back of the Year in 2019, played in the NRL Grand Final for the Eels last season.
Moses said: “We have a great bunch of boys at Parramatta and I love working with Brad (Arthur) and our coaching staff. I’ve been an Eels supporter since I was a kid, so this feels special.”
Parramatta delighted to have Mitchell Moses locked in long-term
Eels chief executive Jim Sarantinos said: “Mitch has been an asset to our club since he returned in 2017 and it’s great to have him locked in as a key member of our football team for the next few years.
“We’ve had a successful football team over the last four years, and with Mitch extending his time with the club we’ve secured a core group of players for the next few years that we can complement with the best young talent coming through our Elite Pathways system to ensure we are in a great position to continue to compete for premierships well into the future.”
Parramatta general manager of football Mark O’Neill said: “Mitch Moses is one of the elite players in the NRL and is integral to our team’s success.
“He has worked hard on his game and is in career best form. As good as his recent performances have been, Mitch has his best football ahead of him and we’re all excited to see the continued evolution of his game and the team’s performances over the next few years.
“He has a beautiful young family including wonderful support from his partner Bri, and we are very happy to have them all continue to be part of the extended Eels family.”
