Prolific centre Mick Nanyn will return to the field for the first time in 18 months when he turns out for Halifax’s Under 20s against Leigh on Thursday night.

Nanyn, 30, has played just 40 minutes for Halifax since moving from Leigh at the end of the 2011 season, after undergoing a knee reconstruction.

The former Widnes, Whitehaven, Swinton, Oldham and Rochdale centre sits seventh on the game’s all-time pointscoring charts, having racked up 3514 points in his career dating back to 1999.
