Netherton cautioned for derby tackle

Hull KR forward Jason Netherton has been cautioned for a tackle during the derby clash between city rivals Hull FC on Sunday.

Netherton was placed on report for a tackle he made on Mark O’Meley in the 27th minute, where he appeared to apply unneccesary pressure on hist opponent’s arm. However, a review concluded that Netherton hadn’t taken the arm beyond the normal range of movement.

The panel deemed a caution for the technique Netherton applied in the tackle was justified and it will remain on his record to be considered in the event of future disciplinary breaches.
