New Catalan deal for Millard
Catalan have handed centre Daryl Millard a new one-year contract.
Millard, 26, arrived in the south of France from Wakefield earlier in the season and has scored five tries in 13 appearances.
He said: “I’m really happy to be staying at Catalan for another year. We are building a good side and I am really enjoying the style of football we are playing under Trent. Hopefully we can continue to improve and play good football for the rest of this year and next.”
The Fiji international centre had been linked to a move to Super League new boys Widnes, and has previously played in the NRL both St George-Illawarra Dragons and Canterbury Bulldogs.
Catalan coach Trent Robinson added: “I am excited to have Daryl sign for next season. He has been a great signing for us this year and has shown his ability as an attacking threat as well as a quality defender. He is an outstanding person who has added value to our squad and embraced the french and catalan culture.”
Millard was one of a clutch of players who left Wakefield just days in to the season, following the club’s period of administration.
