New Championship 1 side to hold open trials

New Championship 1 side Hemel Stags are to hold open trials as they look to recruit a squad for next season.

One product of the Stags set-up, London Broncos winger Kieran Dixon, was last week selected for the England Knights squad, and the club are now hoping to recruit their next group of stars.

Stags Community Manager, Tom Williams, said: “We want and like to have home grown talent in Hemel shirts. This Open Trial will add to our youth development structures by unearthing talented rugby players and athletes who we haven’t seen yet. We will then take them and do our best to turn them into the next Kieran Dixon‘s of this world.”

The open trial will take place on Sunday 14th October at the Stags’ home ground, Pennine Way, Hemel Hempstead HP2 5UD. The trial will commence at 1pm with registration commencing at 11.30am.
