New deals for Wakefield pair
Wakefield pair Tinirau Arona and Jordan Crowther have signed new deals with the club.
Arona, 30, has signed a three-year deal, though has already been ruled out for the rest of this campaign with a knee injury.
Coach Chris Chester said: “It’s great news for everybody that T has extended his deal.
“He’s a big part of the squad and has been outstanding for us over a long period of time.
“You don’t realise how important he is until he’s not out on the field. We’re missing him out there and I know he’s raring to go in 2020.”
Crowther, 22, made his debut as a 17-year-old back in 2014 and has spent time out on loan with York, Dewsbury, Oxford and Newcastle.
Chester added: “He’s been in really good form over these last few weeks,” he said. “People forget he’s only 22 because he’s been involved in the first team for a number of years.
“I’m looking forward to working with him over the next few years and seeing him develop further.”
Trinity earlier announced the departure of veteran forward Craig Huby.
