New Fev deal for Matty Dale
Featherstone back-row forward Matty Dale has signed a new two-year deal at the Bigfellas Stadium.
Dale, 25, joined Rovers in 2009 from Hull and is closing in on his 100th appearance for the club.
Head Coach Daryl Powell said: “Matty has been a model of consistency during my time at the club. He is one of the cornerstones of the team so I am naturally very pleased that he has agreed to remain at Featherstone Rovers for the next two years.”
Dale came through the academy at Hull FC, making nine appearances for the Airlie Birds before moving on loan to Wakefield in 2008.
He said: “I’m over the moon to have agreed a new deal at Featherstone Rovers. The coaching staff has shown great faith in me and I’m really enjoying playing rugby at the Big Fellas Stadium in a successful side.
“We are building another strong squad for 2013 and beyond and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
He will now remain at Featherstone until the end of the 2014 season.
