New York deal for Jack Aldous
York have handed a new two-year deal to former Hull prop Jack Aldous.
Aldous, 21, initially joined the Knights on loan last season before making a permanent switch in the winter, and he follows club captain James Ford in committing his future to the Huntington Stadium.
General Manager Ian Wilson said: “We are delighted that Jack has signed a new two year contract with the club. He has been a consistently good performer all season and at 21 has his best years ahead of him. He also has a fantastic attitude and is the type of player that we want at the club.”
Props Adam Sullivan and Nathan Freer, hookers Jack Lee and Harry Carter, and back-rower Ed Smith are already under contract for 2013.
Meanwhile, the club have also signed young prop Tim Stubbs.
Stubbs, 17, has been a stand-out performer in the club’s Under 18s side this season, and made his first team debut against Featherstone last week.
