Newcastle Thunder boss delighted to land trio on loan
Thunder director of rugby Denis Betts said: “We’re delighted to welcome Callum, Sid and Jack to the club on loan. They are three quality players, and they are going to add to our group.
“We’ve been hit by some injuries of late and have also had players leave us for whom our full-time set-up turned out to not be for them and all of this has had an impact on our small squad.
“Bringing these boys in on loan will allow us to navigate those challenges but also gives us the opportunity to showcase the club, what we are about and what we can offer to players which helps when we are looking to recruit additions to our squad.
“We’re looking forward to working with the players and for their time with us to be beneficial for everybody.”
The trio could make their debuts for Thunder in this weekend’s Championship clash with Halifax.
Newcastle went full-time ahead of this season. Eamon O’Carroll’s side have endured a mixed start to the season though, having won just four from nine in the Championship.
