NRL release revised fixture list for 2020 season resumption

The NRL has released a revised fixture list for the 2020 season, with a shortened 20-round campaign ahead of a finals series in October.

With two rounds being played before the season was suspended, we will now have 18 weeks straight of NRL action through to the finals series.

The NRL season resumes on May 28 and the finals series will be four weeks long, with the Grand Final being played on October 25.

NRL interim chief executive Andrew Abdo said: “After months of careful preparation and planning, the NRL Telstra Premiership is back and will be faster and tougher than ever before.

“Everyone has fought so hard to get the game back on the field. There are new fixtures and new venues, but when the players take the field, the desire to win will be that much higher given the sacrifices made to this point.

“The schedule of 18 uninterrupted weeks of football combined with the new rules to make the game faster, will deliver the heart-pounding entertainment fans expect.”
