Oldham have secured the services of Ireland international Danny Bridge for the 2020 season.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed two successful seasons at the Roughyeds, scoring 16 tries in 36 games.

Bridge has been included in Ireland’s squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Spain and Italy.

Oldham coach Matt Diskin said: “Danny was one of the first players I wanted to re-sign when Chris [Hamilton, chairman] and I went through the squad shortly after my arrival at the club.

“He’s a very talented player whom I was fortunate to work with at Bradford at the back end of my playing career.

“He’s a leader and he’ll be up there with Langers [Danny Langtree] among the top five second-rowers in the Championship.”
