Oldham land international duo
Oldham have signed Jamaica powerhouse prop Jordan Andrade and Serbia international Jason Muranka ahead of the 2022 League 1 season.
Jamaica powerhouse prop Jordan Andrade, 29, has joined Oldham from League 1 rivals Hunslet. He is hoping to represent his Jamaican heritage at next year’s World Cup.
Oldham coach delighted to secure services of Jordan Andrade
Oldham coach Stuart Littler said: “Jordan played for Jamaica against England Knights recently and then scored against Scotland in the next match. He’s looking for a big year with the World Cup at the end of it .
“He’s set himself a huge 2022 goal — to help Roughyeds get back into the Championship first time out and in so doing to get the chance to play for Jamaica in the World Cup final. He thinks his best chance of doing that is with Oldham.
“My job is to help him to achieve those team and personal targets. I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Oldham’s second international signing is former Dewsbury, Doncaster and Keighley back-rower Jason Muranka. He has represented Serbia, playing in the European Championships and World Cup qualifiers.
Littler said: “He’s been around the Championship and League One for a number of years and he’ll be able to help the younger lads. He runs good lines and he’ll be good for us on the edges. If needs be, he can also play more up the middle.
“With only eight substitutions allowed next year we’ve got to get the balance right in team selection and players who can play different roles, like Jason, will be invaluable. He’s a handful in possession no matter where he plays.
“He’s a good player and a good man — that’s important because we don’t only want good players; we want good people.”
