O’Loughlin and Tomkins good to go
Wigan head coach Shaun Wane says that key duo Sean O’Loughlin and Sam Tomkins are both available for Saturday’s Challenge Cup final.
Wane, a cup winner in his playing career, also says that the Warriors recent league form has no bearing on their preparation for Wembley.
He said, “O’Loughlin will train tomorrow and Tomkins had a good run-out against Catalan – so he is good to go.
“As Wigan lads they are both desperate to play.”
The Warriors have won only one of their last four Super League matches, but Wane is not concerned:
“As our opponents Hull have shown, league form is irrelevant in the Challenge Cup.
“It is a unique game and what happened the week before will not matter – the winning team will be the one that deals with the occasion best.”
