Olympique vice captain nominated for Toulouse award
Toulouse Olympique pivot Johnathan Ford is one of the nominees for a local press award to determine who is the ‘Toulousain of the Year’.
The award, which is given by local newspaper La Depeche du Midi, is given as a recognition for achievements and impact in the Toulouse region over the course of the year.
Ford is the vice captain of the Blue and Whites, and also the skipper of the Cook Islands national team.
Toulouse skipper Sebastien Planas and club president Bernard Sarrazain have been nominated for the award in the past.
Ford has been at the club for six years now, and has been an integral and important part of the club’s rise from winning the French Elite League, to winning League One last season, and reaching the Championship.
Fans can vote for Ford at the official website of La Depeche du Midi.
