Ottawa sign former England rugby union under-20 international Guy Armitage

Ottawa Aces have signed former England rugby union under-20 international Guy Armitage, arguably their most high-profile recruit ahead of their first season in English League 1.

The 28-year-old centre, who is the brother of full England internationals Delon and Steffon Armitage, switched codes in 2019 when he joined London Broncos and made two appearances for them in Super League.

“Guy will bring a strong physical presence to the team and he has already shown that for the last few years at the highest level,” said Ottawa coach Laurent Frayssinous.

“He can play a number of positions on the edge and will bring speed, power and skills.”
