Oxford sign two more
Oxford have signed centre Andy McGrory from Coventry and full-back or winger Michael Crabtree from Oxford Brookes University.
McGrory has represented Ireland, Ireland A and Warwickshire rugby union in his playing career, while Crabtree has played rugby union for Esher and rugby league for Elmbridge Eagles.
Head Coach Tony Benson said: “Andy has represented Ireland A where he played as a winger but has been recently converted into a centre whilst playing for Coventry this year. He is a big strong ball carrier who will be a fantastic addition to the squad for this season.
“Michael really impressed me at the trials, he is someone who has a lot of pace and is very strong.”
Oxford are busy preparing for their inaugural season in Championship 1, which kicks off in March.
Crabtree added: “I am very excited to be a part of the journey, it’s my first professional contract, and I am delighted to be given a chance by Tony and Tevita, I am going to play the best that I can so I can be a regular in the team.”
