Marshall linked with Hull
New Zealand legend Benji Marshall has been offered a one-year deal by Hull that would see him become the highest paid player in Super League, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Marshall was team-mates with Hull’s new coach Brett Hodgson at Wests Tigers and has been offered a deal by the Black and Whites for next season, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Toulouse backed for Super League
Harrison Hansen believes it is a “no-brainer” to give Toulouse Super League’s 12th spot for 2021, reports Wigan Today.
Hansen told Wigan Today: “Can you imagine how good it would be having two French teams (along with Catalans) in the competition?”
Exiles to make comeback?
The Exiles could be set for a return to action in 2021, reports League Express.
Discussions have been held that would see Shaun Wane’s England side take on the Exiles next June, according to League Express.
Welsby on Bellew praise
St Helens hero Jack Welsby has welcomed Tony Bellew’s praise for thrilling Grand Final, reports the Mirror.
Welsby told the Mirror: “Of course – I saw him tweeting about it and its what our game needs really. He’s a massive personality, it would be good for the game to have someone identify it for being as good as it is.”
Castleford eye silverware
Castleford forward Oliver Holmes says the club are targeting silverware next year, reports Yorkshire Evening Post.
Holmes told Yorkshire Evening Post: “Having the year we’ve had, it will be a bit more coal on the fire to make that desire burn and push us even harder throughout pre-season, to make sure next year is a successful year.”
