Paul linked to Bradford job

Exclusive: Henry Paul is in the running to become the new coach of Bradford, Love Rugby League understands.

According to numerous sources, the former dual code international appears set to replace Rohan Smith as coach.

Australian Smith’s departure from Bradford has been confirmed today with Kiwi businessmen Andrew Chalmers and Graham Lowe taking over the club.

Paul played for Bradford from 1999 to 2001, along with the likes of Wigan, Wakefield, Harlequins and internationally for New Zealand.

He also played rugby union for Bath, Gloucester, Leeds Carnegie, Rotherham and internally for England.

Paul’s younger brother is former Bradford CEO Robbie Hunter-Paul.

His coaching career started in rugby union with the Russian national team.

More recently the 42-year old has been coaching union side Jebel Ali Dragons in the UAE.
