Paul Rowley provides Salford injury update & explains Morgan Escare loan move
Salford head coach Paul Rowley has provided an injury update on his squad.
The Red Devils boss also explained the reasoning behind the loan move for full-back Morgan Escare to Wakefield.
Rowley’s side host Hull KR in the fifth round of the Super League on Friday at the AJ Bell Stadium.
He has made just one change to his 21-man squad from last week’s defeat to Huddersfield. Sam Luckley replaces Greg Burke.
Harvey Livett is yet to make his first appearance this year due to injury. Centre Dan Sarginson will also be sidelined long term, with Rowley providing the latest.

“Greg failed a head test on the day at Huddersfield,” said Rowley. “He’s automatically ruled out.
“Good news on (Dan) Sarginson; he could potentially be back in three to four weeks.
“Harvey Livett could be another two months. His goes from bad to worse. He’s the long-term one.”

Loan movements
France international Escare has joined Super League rivals Wakefield on an initial two-week loan deal.
He boosts Willie Poching’s side who are missing Max Jowitt and Lee Gaskell. Escare could make his debut against Toulouse Olympique on Friday evening.
The club also recently loaned out pair Josh Johnson and Jack Wells to Barrow, who recently featured in the club’s win over Widnes in the Championship.
“Josh Johnson and Jack Wells were good at Barrow. They just needed to play,” said Rowley.
“Morgan is slightly different circumstances. That was a club decision to let Morgan go out. Obviously he’s going to get game time and Wakefield needed a player. The club and Wakefield have a decent relationship.
“It was a club decision. It’s not necessarily driven by myself. Nevertheless, he needs to play.
“He’s too much expense to be sat not playing, and so from his point of view he wanted to get some game time in.
“It’s been driven by the club to get him out and get some game time and probably offset some of his finance as well because he’s an expensive player not to be playing.”
Despite their loans, Rowley insists they are all still a part of his future plans. He added: “They’re still part of my thinking, absolutely. They always have been and it’s no different.”
