Peter Gentle rewarded with contract extension

Hull have handed head coach Peter Gentle a one-year contract extension after he led them to the Super League play-offs in his first season in charge.

Gentle, 46, who is currently preparing his squad to face Huddersfield in the play-offs on Sunday, is now committed to the club until the end of 2015.

He guided the Airlie Birds to a sixth place finish in Super League, with 15 wins and two draws from their 27 games.

The former Wests Tigers and Australia assistant coach arrived on a three-year deal in the close season.
