Physical Disability Rugby League documentary to air on Channel 4 this Friday
Comedian Adam Hills is at the centre of a brand new 60-minute documentary on Physical Disability Rugby League for Channel 4.
Adam Hills: Take His Legs will air this Friday night on Channel 4 at 11:30pm. It’s made by Noah Media Group and commissioned for Channel 4 by Fozia Khan.
The one-off special follows Hills as he goes on a personal journey to live out his dream to play competitive rugby league.
Take His Legs is the story of the birth of Physical Disability Rugby League in the UK and the rise of Warrington’s PDRL team, with the Wolves going from open trials to being crowned world champions in just six months.
Hills was the driving force behind establishing the first PDRL team here in the UK and the documentary follows the celebrity and his Warrington team-mates as they prepared for the first-ever International Club Challenge against South Sydney Rabbitohs at the historic ANZ Stadium in Australia.

On Take His Legs, Hills said: “Playing Physical Disability Rugby League has been one of the greatest adventures of my life.
“I’m so glad we brought a camera with us because it took me to places I never expected – like Wakefield.
“More than that though, it has shown me the power that sport has to change lives.”
