Podcast: Andrew Henderson on Combined Nations All Stars & international rugby league
Combined Nations All Stars assistant coach Andrew Henderson is this week’s guest on the Love Rugby League podcast.
The Keighley Cougars head of rugby has linked up with the All Stars once again, this time under new boss Ellery Hanley ahead of their clash against England.
It is the second All Stars fixture, and will act as preparations for England ahead of their Rugby League World Cup campaign later this year.
Henderson joins host George Riley to discuss the fixture and squad selection, while the pair also discuss international rugby league and expansion.
Meanwhile, deputy editor Drew Darbyshire joins the podcast to discuss all the latest.
Combined Nations All Stars to take on England
Head coach Hanley has named a 20-man squad to face England at the Halliwell Jones Stadium this Saturday. Wakefield prop David Fifita was a late inclusion, representing Tonga for the All Stars.
England World Cup hopefuls Daryl Clark and Kruise Leeming have also been named, having missed out on Shaun Wane’s England squad.
Clark has won eight caps for England on the international stage. He is also eligible to represent Scotland. Leeds skipper Leeming was named on the bench for their test against France in 2021.
Last year’s Tim Sheens’ All Stars defeated England 26-24 in its inaugural fixture at the same venue in Warrington.
