Poore escapes ban after Boxing Day red
Wakefield prop Justin Poore has escaped suspension following his red card against Leeds on Boxing Day.
Poore, 27, was dismissed 18 minutes in to his Wildcats debut for clashing with Rhinos prop Ryan Bailey.
He submitted an early guilty plea to admit the Grade A offence of punching to avoid a ban, although it means he has lost the right to submit an early guilty plea for the next 12 months.
The Australian signed for Wakefield in the close season from NRL side Parramatta Eels.
Meanwhile, Halifax forward Dane Manning has been handed a two-match ban for punching during the Boxing Day friendly against Keighley.
Manning, 23, clashed with Cougars player-coach Paul March, and was found guilty of the Grade B offence.
He will miss their opening Championship league games against Sheffield and Workington.
