Mick Butterfield (knee) and Carl Hughes (ribs) both have a chance of playing in Sunday’s Co-operative Championship One fixture with Oldham.

On loan Wakefield Trinity Wildcats winger Gareth Potts could also make his home debut for Doncaster.

Dons director of rugby Carl Hall said: “Oldham are the only team to give us a real hiding this season, so the lads are determined to put on a good display.”

Oldham pair Liam Gilchrist (ankle) and Matthew Fogerty (shoulder) both face late fitness tests, but Carl Forber is back in contention.

Chris Clarke is ruled out after suffering suspected ruptured ligaments in his thumb during last week’s defeat at Swinton.

Oldham coach Tony Benson said: “Doncaster have been going consistently well.

“They’ve had respectable results against Keighley and Whitehaven, and they’re strong across the park.”

He added: “Last week our loss came down to the bounce of the ball. I honestly think we were the better team against Swinton.

“If we get close to our full team on the field then we’re pretty competitive.”
