South Wales bid to halt a two-match losing streak when they host third-placed Doncaster on Sunday.

The Scorpions have lost against Whitehaven and London Skolars since beating Keighley almost a month ago.

South Wales are boosted by the return of Joe Burke, Dalton Grant and Aled James, who all played for Crusaders in the Engage Super League two weeks ago.

However, their focus is now back on their efforts to keep the Scorpions’ play-off chances alive. Grant said: “It’s a big game for us on Sunday. A win would set us up nicely and we do need those points.”

Doncaster hope to include on-loan centre Nev Morrison following his hat-trick against Swinton last week, while Grant Edwards is set to return from a deadleg and Craig Lawton (ribs) could also feature.

The Dons have won six of their last seven league fixtures, and coach Tony Miller remained proud of his side after last week’s battling defeat. He said: “We showed a lot of character to come back so well against a very good Swinton side.”
