Preview: Widnes v Dewsbury
Gareth Haggerty is back in contention for Widnes, but doubts remain over Shaun Ainscough (hand) and Dean Gaskell.
Vikings are hoping for a second Co-operative Championship victory in two weeks after ending a two-month stretch without a win by beating Whitehaven last week.
Austin Buchanan has an outside chance of featuring in Warren Jowitt’s squad, depending on the outcome of his return to action in Thursday night’s reserve fixture.
However, Scott Turner (hand) is out along with Andy Bostock (shoulder). Ayden Faal is doubtful.
Rams coach Jowitt says his side must improve their finishing if they are to trouble the Vikings.
Dewsbury lost 36-12 against Toulouse on Saturday, but Jowitt insists his side should have won the game.
He said: “We outplayed Toulouse and the tries they scored were nothing tries. They weren’t well-worked tries.
“We had four knock-ons over the try line and we bombed four other chances from clear breaks with dropped balls. We had some poor finishing. We played well and got to the point where we clear, we just weren’t finishing.
“Anybody that was there would agree that we dominated the game, even though the score line doesn’t suggest that.”
