PROBIZ chief aims for Featherstone treble
Featherstone’s new major shareholder and founder of PROBIZ, Feisal Nahaboo, wants the club to win the treble this season.
Rovers, who have finished top of the table in each of the last three seasons, were beaten in last season’s Northern Rail Cup and Championship Grand finals.
They have started this season with wins over Leigh and Dewsbury, and continue to make big noises about joining Super League in two years time.
Nahaboo told the club’s official website: I’ve had great dialogue with Daryl (Powell) and trust him implicitly to go for the treble and as all Featherstone Rovers fans know, he has my backing and he is aware resources are available when and if needed.
“We are constantly talking to Super League clubs and making enquiries. The team spirit is fantastic and the culture instilled by Daryl is highly admirable. The team spirit and culture was evident for all to see on Sunday in horrible conditions where every player dug deep.”
Featherstone won the Championship in 2011, having also finished as Grand Final runners-up in 2010.
