Hunslet have re-signed former Super League winger Waine Pryce from Championship rivals York.

Pryce, 30, scored 33 tries in 43 appearances in a two-year spell for the Hawks, before opting to leave the club 12 months ago.

The former Wakefield and Castleford wide man will now return to the South Leeds Stadium.

Hunslet’s Director of Rugby, Darren Williams, said: “Waine is the ultimate professional and I was disappointed when he left the club in the first place having fought hard to retain his services, however he left on good terms as did Tommy Haughey and Danny Grimshaw and when the opportunity arose to re-sign players of this calibre both club and player were happy to agree terms.

“Pryce has had an injury curtailed 2012 at York but is now back to full fitness and looked as sharp as ever ironically against the Hawks in yesterdays Championship clash, a game in which the Hawks completed a double over their arch rivals; Waine is a high quality finisher and his kick returns are excellent.”
