Quins invite fans to training game

All supporters are invited to watch Harlequins Rugby League in a preseason training game at their Roehampton training ground on Sunday 10th January, 12pm KO.

This will be the first public preseason event of 2010 and sees the Harlequins RL Super League squad take on the Harlequins RL under 20’s squad in a training game.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome to come along for their first glimpse of Harlequins in action ahead of the 2010 Super League which kicks off at the Stoop on Saturday 30th January against Wakefield (3pm KO).

Today’s announcement completes the full Harlequins Rugby League preseason schedule. Following this training game, Harlequins play Crusaders RL in the Jon Wells Testimonial Match at Rosslyn Park FC on Saturday 16th January (5pm KO). Quins then play London Skolars at the HAC Artillery Ground on Friday 22nd January (1.45pm KO).

The training match will take place at the Richardson Evans Memorial Playing Fields in Roehampton (see address below).

Limited parking will be available at the venue. The 85 and 265 buses stops on Roehampton Vale and can be caught from Putney or Kingston – visit www.tfl.gov.uk for details.

Please note that this will be a training game, with rotating teams and will not be full contact. There will be a catering van will be on site, though because this is primarily a training venue, facilities are limited.
