Wayne Bennett coached Great Britain on the Lions' tour of the southern hemisphere in 2019

We’ve taken a trip down memory late to 2019 – the last time Great Britain were in action as the Lions toured the southern hemisphere.

Legendary Australian coach Wayne Bennett, who was head coach of England at the time, got the Great Britain gig as they embarked on their tour of the southern hemisphere.

The 2019 tour was the first test matches played by the Lions since 2007 on the New Zealand tour that year.

After the 2007 Kiwis tour to Great Britain, the Lions were disbanded and more emphasis was placed on the four home nations – England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Bennett named a 24-man Great Britain squad on October 14, 2019.

It was a winless tour for the Lions, losing to Tonga and Papua New Guinea and twice to New Zealand in their four tests.

Oliver Gildart (Wigan Warriors) and Ryan Hall (Sydney Roosters) picked up injuries whilst on tour so, as a result, Ash Handley (Leeds Rhinos) was called into the squad.

And so for the purposes of this quiz, we’ve included the full 25-man squad, with Handley, Gildart and Hall all named because they were officially part of Bennett’s side.

Right, that’s enough clues! We’ve already given you three answers, only 22 more to go…

Good luck with this one, and don’t forget to tweet us your scores @loverugbyleague.
