Radford: Players failed to handle weather
Hull FC coach Lee Radford admits his team have a lot of work to do on their handling in wet weather after losing against Huddersfield Giants.
The away side missed out on the chance to go four points clear at the top of the Super League table after defeat away against Huddersfield.
“I think we got a lesson in how to play wet weather football,” Radford told Sky.
“When you think about it these conditions are reminiscent of grand final night so we need to learn how to better adapt when the weather changes.”
Huddersfield fullback Jake Connor put in an impressive display against his future employers and Radford admitted he made an impact.
“I think the lad had a really good game. He more than played his part in helping them to secure the victory.
“At the end of the day I thought Huddersfield’s control and patience was far superior.
“We will have to show some vast improvement next week in order to hold on to that top spot.”
