Raiders snap up Phillips

West Wales Raiders have announced the signing of long-serving South Wales Ironmen forward Barrie Phillips for the 2018 season.

Phillips had a remarkable season with the Ironmen last season, playing in their wins against Coventry Bears and Gloucestershire All Golds.

The veteran can play anywhere in the forward pack and has a lot of experience playing in League 1, having had spells with South Wales Scorpions and Ironmen under Raiders assistant coach Phil Carleton.

He is the 22^nd signing for the Raiders ahead of the 2018 League 1 campaign.
