Rangi Chase suspended by Castleford

Castleford have confirmed that Rangi Chase has been suspended following his behaviour last weekend.

Chase was sensationally dropped from Ian Millward’s side prior to the Tigers’ match against Leeds. 

A club statement said: “Castleford Tigers can confirm that Rangi Chase has been suspended on full pay while the club investigates his actions last weekend.

“The club hope for the conclusion of this matter sooner rather than later and will not comment further on the situation at this stage so to not prejudice the case for either party.”

Chase is highly tipped to be signing for Wigan ahead of next season, following the forthcoming departures of Brett Finch and Thomas Leuluai.
