Rea excited by Soward signing
London head coach Tony Rea has expressed his delight at the signing of Jamie Soward.
The club announced the capture of the NRL star after his early release from St George Illawarra Dragons, with the scrum-half set to join Penrith Panthers for the 2014 season.
Rea said, “At the moment he’s very hungry, he’s keen to be here, keen to play great rugby league and keen to have a great back end of the season and prove some people wrong.”
“His kicking game is a real asset, there’s no question on that. He’s a great support player and the great enthusiasm in training and games that will be something for all of our guys to be feeding off and working with.”
Soward could make his London debut away at Wakefield on Sunday as his new side look to end a run of five Super League games without a win.
