Relegation battle could go all the way
Huddersfield coach Simon Woolford admits relegation is a reality for his side after their defeat to Catalans on Friday night.
A late rally wasn’t enough for the Giants as they went down 32-28, having trailed 32-12 at one stage.
Woolford said: “It took being nearly 20 points behind to start getting our act together and we didn’t give up.
“We were all over them in the last 20 minutes, but we need to stop giving teams a head start and start playing well from the start of games.
“Relegation is a reality but I’m not looking at that. There is every chance the relegation battle could go down to the last game.”
Hull KR’s win at Leeds has bunched the bottom of the table up again, with London now adrift on 14 points.
The Giants sit on 16 points, the same as Leeds and Hull KR, but with a superior points difference.
There are seven rounds to play and next up for Huddersfield is a crunch trip to Hull KR on Friday.
