Reports Down Under link Blake Austin to Warrington Wolves
Reports from Australia are linking five-eighth Blake Austin with Warrington Wolves for the 2019 season.
The Canberra Raiders play-maker has been dropped from this weekend’s NRL action against Canterbury Bulldogs as speculation rises that he is set to leave Ricky Stuart’s side.
Warrington Wolves are reportedly on the look out for a replacement for Tyrone Roberts, who is set to leave the Halliwell Jones Stadium side on ‘compassionate grounds’.
Austin made his NRL debut in 2011 for the Penrith Panthers against his current club, whilst also appearing for Wests Tigers in 2014.
The 27-year-old versatile back has featured in the halves and at fullback across his career, and was believed to have been offered contracts with several Sydney-based clubs, but will take a long-term contract with Steve Price’s side in the Super League.
