RFL backs clubs in contract dramas
The RFL says it will support its clubs so that players walking away from lawful contracts is not tolerated.
The governing body has weighed into the issue of Denny Solomona, Chris Sandow and James Segeyaro.
RFL chief executive Nigel Wood said: “The RFL is extremely disappointed to learn that properly contracted Super League players may not be fulfilling the terms of their employment with Super League clubs as agreed.
“Contracts are two way contracts mutally binding on both parties.
“The RFL will support is member clubs absolutely to defend their contractual positions and will work with only similarly inclined Governing Bodies to ensure that the unacceptable potential anarchu of lawful contracts simply being walked away from, is not tolerated.”
