Richard Owen calls time on his career
Ex-Castleford winger Richard Owen has announced his retirement from the game with immediate effect.
The 29-year-old played for Doncaster in League 1 this year but has confirmed that he has hung up his boots following the conclusion of the 2019 season.
Owen played for Castleford, Wakefield, Keighley, Leigh and Doncaster during his career. He scored 96 tries in 207 appearances.
He tweeted: “Well that’s my rugby league career over with.
“Thanks to everyone that’s helped me on the way through the hard times and the good times.”
